Aquatic Emergency Care
Description
Aquatic Emergency Care (AEC) is an in–water First Aid program. Award holders are trained to be prepared for employment as an Assistant Lifeguard and for success in the National Lifeguard awards additionally AEC will benefit others working in an Aquatic environment including cashiers, instructors, park attendants.
AEC focuses on practical skill development and teamwork by applying lifesaving and first aid concepts in an aquatic environment. AEC is recommended to be earned before working as an Assistant Lifeguard or attending National Lifeguard courses. AEC will give you the skills and confidence to respond to a variety of water related emergencies.
Lifesaving Society Aquatic Emergency Care is valid for 2 years from the date of certification. To renew an Aquatic Emergency Care certification, candidates attend an Aquatic Emergency Care Recert course. Annual recertification is recommended.
