CPR A/AED

Overview

CPR-A teaches resuscitation skills needed to help adults. Learn critical lifesaving skills, such as how to recognize and treat the early signs of a heart attack, activate EMS, perform CPR and use an AED, and help someone who is choking.

Prerequisites

  • No pre-requisites
Recognition

CPR A with AED electronic certification.

Currency

Certification is valid for 3 years from date of issue

Recertification

Recertification of CPR C with AED is achieved by attending a 4-5 hour CPR C/AED Recertification course.

Prerequisites

  • CPR – C/AED
  • Previous certification must be from one of the following agencies:
    – Any Canadian Lifesaving Society Branch
    – Canadian Red Cross
    – St. Johns Ambulance
    – Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada
    – Canadian Ski Patrol

      Currency

      Certification is valid for 3 years from date of issue
